Eclipse ladies to be featured in Vanity Fair

Gossip Cop is reporting that Kristen and a few of the other “Eclipse” female cast will be featured in an upcoming issue of Vanity Fair:

The female stars of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse have been photographed for a major spread in Vanity Fair, Gossip Cop has learned exclusively.

Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning, Nikki Reed and Elizabeth Reaser (among others) participated in a photo shoot last Sunday for an issue set to arrive on stands around the time Eclipse hits theaters.

Bill Condon Officially Chosen As 'Breaking Dawn' Director

Los Angeles, CA April 28, 2010 – Summit Entertainment has confirmed that Academy Award® winner Bill Condon will direct THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN, based on the fourth novel in author Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN, is currently being written by Melissa Rosenberg, and will star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt, and Stephenie Meyer will produce the project.

“Bringing Stephenie Meyer’s BREAKING DAWN to the screen requires a graceful and intelligent hand and we believe Bill Condon is exactly the right steward, having shown equal and abundant talents of immense creativity and subtle sensitivity,” said Erik Feig, President of Production and Acquisitions, for Summit Entertainment.

Added author Stephenie Meyer, “I’m so thrilled that Bill wants to work with us. I think he’s going to be a great fit, and I’m excited to see what he does with the material.”

“I’m very excited to get the chance to bring the climax of this saga to life on-screen. As fans of the series know, this is a one-of-a-kind book – and we’re hoping to create an equally unique cinematic experience,” said Bill Condon.

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN illuminates the secrets and mysteries of this spellbinding romantic epic that has entranced millions.

Condon is well known for writing and directing DREAMGIRLS, KINSEY, and GODS AND MONSTERS, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay in 1999. He was nominated for a second Oscar for his screenplay for the movie musical CHICAGO in 2003. Most recently the multi-hyphenate directed the pilot episode for the Showtime series “The Big C” and produced the 81st Annual Academy Awards telecast, hosted by Hugh Jackman.

The third film in the franchise, THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE is due in theaters on June 30, 2010.

Flaunt Interview Excerpt: “I’m Insecure — Just Like You!”

Under those slumped shoulders and often cold-glare eyes, Kristen Stewart is just as insecure as the rest of us — so she proves in an incredibly revealing new interview in Flaunt magazine.

The Twilight star tells Flaunt’s Gregg Lagambina that she was wracked with nerves before her latest film, The Runaways, debuted at Sundance. “I thought everyone would write shit reviews. I thought everyone was waiting, itching to say that I should just go back to Twilight. And no one said that. I put so much into it. I would have died working on that movie. So if they did say those bad things, then I might as well just stop now.”

Kristen also explains why — at least in her mind — she might come off as aloof and standoffish to others. “I get defensive and that has probably perpetuated people’s idea of me never smiling. I kind of shake my leg too, so people think I’m always uncomfortable.”

As for how she makes her film choices, K suggests it’s all just instinct: “Who knows what you’re going to connect with and then be able to live up to? I can’t just read a script and say it’s great because there’s a part for me, my age, perfect—I can’t live that life. You know what I mean? That’s just not me.”

And she takes us deep into how fame has changed her: “Yeah, I definitely act differently. I’m definitely overcoming a lot of it. The only insecurity I’ve developed is just being overly paranoid about everyone looking at you when they’re not.”

Bring on those rays -- Kristen Stewart hit the Coachella Music and Arts festival this weekend for a sunny pool party hosted by Lacoste.

Just a walk from festival grounds, the label hosted celebs and VIPs for cocktails, tanning and gifting on Saturday and Sunday.

Stewart arrived with her older brother Taylor, laying in the sun for about 30 minutes between performances. We're also told Kristen was just there to "listen to great music and hang with friends."

Can't blame her! She's been such a jet-setter lately, she totally deserves some time to chill out and listen to tunes.

Kristen was apparently in the desert since Friday, but kept a superlow profile until stopping by the Lacoste party (which was totally staked out by media and paps the entire weekend) on Sunday in between shows.

Clad in jeans, a black T-shirt, baseball hat and 30th anniversary 101 Lacoste aviator shades, Stewart looked comfy flying under the radar at the jampacked festival, which featured sets from the likes of Jay-Z and Muse.

For Kristen Stewart, who reprises her role as Bella in Twilight: Eclipse, locking lips with costar Taylor Lautner (who plays her pal Jacob) felt odd—not just because she thinks of Lautner as a kid brother, but because Bella’s heart truly belongs to vampire hottie Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). “It felt really weird kissing someone else as Bella,” says Stewart. “I was like, ‘What the hell are you doing?’ It was a really strange experience—as it should have been.”

Nikki Reed confirms shes not doing K-11 & Kristen Stewart is...'Out of town'

Kristen Stewart's forthcoming film K-11 has been flying under the media radar lately as it seems to be progressing rather slowly toward production.

A few weeks ago, Kristen Stewart spoke up on the project with words of excitement for the idea of it . . . but she still admitted that it's an "if it happens" type deal.

Just yesterday, her Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse co-star Nikki Reed was at the Simply Shakespeare event in Santa Monica, California and stated that she was not a part of K-11 anymore.

According to HollywoodLife.com:

“I’m actually not a part of that,” the 21-year-old Twilight starlet said April 12 at the Simply Shakespeare fundraiser in Santa Monica, Calif. “Yeahhhh, I was. I’m not anymore.”

Looks like the role of "Mousey" is back on the market.

Kristen Jaymes Stewart, one of several children to John and Jules Mann-Stewart, began her work in films at the impressively junior age of nine. Yes, nine.

It’s amazing how someone who’s been starring in movies since she was a young child managed to grow up normally. Kristen is still acting now, many years later and isn’t falling over herself from heavy drugs and alcohol. To me, that’s an achievement…especially compared to her peers. Robsten's 1st Unofficial Anniversary Diary

Who the hell knows what day Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart first officially started the rebellious romance they still (yes, still) have going on. But one year ago today was when we here at the A.T. decided to be the first to report on those naughty Robsten shenanigans.

And how happy are we? Almost as much as Robsten! So far to date, we've had...

Way more than 400 posts about their epic romance, more than one a day. Can you effing believe it? We're sure the Twi-haters who have wanted to gouge their eyes out the past year can.

A "WTF?!" photo of an obvious K.Stew being cropped out of a R.Pattz paparazzi shot is what first grabbed our attention that something fishy was going on behind the Twilight scenes.

And then our sources started blabbing—and how. (And they've never stopped.)

New photos of Kristen Stewart in 'The Runaways' revealed, distribution plans explained

A few new stills of Kristen Stewart rocking it out in The Runaways as Joan Jett have recently made their way to the surface.

Fans have endured a bit of bad news about the film as the movie's wide release anticipated for April 9th has been a bit slowed.

Larry Richman at ProNetworks has a good explanation of the theatrical distribution situation for The Runaways.

Here's a portion of what Richman has to say:

The Runaways opened in 244 theaters. Not a wide distribution, to be sure -- most people consider 600+ to be wide -- but certainly more than many limited releases. Instead of expanding the following Friday, it dropped to 237 theaters in its second week. In its third week (the one which just began) it dropped again to 84. By any measure this is not an expansion in number of theaters. The reported plan (after a couple of changes) was to have it open in limited distribution on March 19 and expand wide on April 9. At this writing, the estimated number of theaters being reported at both Box Office Mojo (BOM) and indieWIRE for April 9 is an increase from 84 to 200. Certainly not the wide expansion that had been announced.

What's going on? Taking into account everything discussed above, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out why a wide distribution for this film may have been scaled back or canceled altogether. Based on the reported number, the wide expansion for April 9 is obviously not happening. Clearly, if the 200 theater count number for April 9 is true that's a fact. Some say it's just been delayed and will take place at a later date. Certainly if there is an expansion to 1000 theaters on April 16, or 23, or anytime down the line, it's just happening on a delayed timetable. The answer seems to hinge, in part, on the veracity of the number being reported at BOM and indieWIRE.

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' premiere to take place on June 24th

While the official location for the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is as yet unconfirmed, the premiere date has been selected, and it'll take place on June 24th, 2010.

That's about a week before the theatrical release of the film, June 30th, and some sites have reported that Eclipse will premiere at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood, California.

While the date is accurate as reported by the source, the location is not.

That's not to say the premiere won't take place at Grauman's, but rather that no official decision on the matter has yet been made.

As soon as the premiere location has been chosen and publicized, I'll be sure to let you know. Until then, mark your calendars for June 24th for one of the year's most star-studded and exciting events!
