Kristen Stewart's new movie 'On The Road' filming schedule!

According to the Montreal Gazette 'On The Road' starts filming in Montreal on August 2nd before it heads to New Orleans "for another month of filming and then Mexico for a few weeks and then back to Montreal to wrap"

This sounds like a big production with what seems like over 2 moths of filming for Kristen!

Jack Kerouac's classic continues its long trip to the screen with a local shoot in August.


An already exciting, starstudded year for Hollywood filming in Montreal has just become more exciting and starstudded with the news that the long-gestating movie adaptation of Jack Kerouac's classic novel On the Road will shoot here. Producers of the film have opened an office at Mel's Cite du Cinema studio, and filming is set to begin here Aug. 2.

Twilight fans will undoubtedly be pumped to learn that none other than Twilight starlet Kristen Stewart has one of the lead roles, playing Marylou, the young wife of rebellious, troubled anti-hero Dean Moriarty.

Stewart will shoot On the Road in between Twilight gigs. The third film in the popular vampire series, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, hits screens June 30, and Stewart -who shot to fame by playing sultry teen Bella Swan in the series -is already busy doing promotion. She will begin shooting the fourth Twilight flick, Breaking Dawn, in October, just after On the Road wraps.

The Kerouac adaptation will film here for most of the month of August, before heading south to New Orleans for a month of shooting. Then it shifts even farther south, with the production moving to Mexico for several weeks before returning to Montreal to wrap the final scenes.

New Eclipse TV Spot: Starting

A new TV spot from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse called "Starting" has just been revealed on Yahoo! Movies!

TV spots don't generally bring a whole lot of new content, but this one offers a few new glimpses into scenes from the film, including one of the Cullens lined up for battle and the wolves chasing Victoria across the ravine.

It was certainly strange to watch the presenter lists for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards roll out without their names on them, and it seems that the resultant worrying that Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner might not be participating (from the presenter side of the stage) in the event may have been for nothing.

E! Online's Marc Malkin issued a report this morning stating that the three will indeed be presenting at the event and that it'll be a new clip from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse!

The three are each nominated for awards, for their work in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and their individual films (The Runaways, Remember Me, and Valentine's Day respectively), and co-star Anna Kendrick will also present.

Kristen Stewart’s 'On the Road' Gets More International Distribution

Given limited distribution for some of Kstew’s other recent indie flicks (e.g., “The Runaways”, “Welcome to the Rileys”) it is encouraging news that makers of the upcoming film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s “On the Road” have already announced far-reaching distribution plans.

Heard recently at Cannes and confirmed via IMDB Pro, Icon Film Distribution of Great Britain and Icon Film Distribution of Australia were announced as regional distributors of the film. For the Great Britain branch, this translates to theatrical distribution in Ireland and all media distribution in the UK. For the Australian arm, this means theatrical distribution in New Zealand and all media distribution in Australia.

Other distribution rights for the film had already been sold to other regions—Cinearts holds rights for Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg (Benelux), and Concorde Filmverleih for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein.

In addition to Kristen, who has been confirmed for the role of Marylou (widely known to be parallel real-life associate of Kerouac, Luanne Henderson), other confirmed cast members for “On the Road” include Kirsten Dunst (as Camille), Sam Riley (as Sal Paradise), and Garrret Hedlund (as protagonist Dean Moriarty).

The film is a portrayal of Kerouac’s own Beatnik experience, which rejected social norms of materialism while embracing taboos around sexuality and drugs. TIME Magazine critics Lev Grossman and Richard Lacayo named “On the Road” among the 100 Best American Novels written since 1923, calling it “the book that launched a thousand trips”.

Kristen Stewart Heading to Australia!

Just in via thetodayshow Kristen and Taylor Lautner will be heading to Australia in just a few weeks, on the 31st! We’ll bring you more details as they become available!

Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are headed for Sydney to promote the latest film in the Twilight saga.

Stewart is known to millions of fans of the vampire series as Bella Swan. Lautner plays werewolf Jacob Black on the silver screen.

The pair will tour Sydney late this month promoting Eclipse, the third film in the popular franchise.

While Down Under the pair will participate in a Q&A session with fans at Luna Park on May 31.

The special event will also be broadcast live to cinemas around the country.

The film, which also stars Robert Pattinson, will be released nationally on July 1.

Finally, Muse's video for "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)" has been revealed!

The song, which is featured on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's official motion picture soundtrack, was released a few days ago on iTunes and popular radio stations, and now the video has been released by MTV!

As predicted, the video includes a great deal of footage from the film itself - most of which has already been seen in various clips, TV spots, and of course the trailers.

New Bella Swan Banner

The Official Twilight Twitter page has just revealed a brand new banner from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and this time it's Kristen Stewart (as "Bella").

This poster is a great reminder of the fact that we may be "Team Jacob" or "Team Edward," but the story of Eclipse (and the entire Twilight series) is about "Bella."

Also, contrasting this image with some of the prior ones from Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon, one can see that "Bella" is wearing a much more fierce expression.

In Eclipse, "Bella" might be a "fragile little human" amongst immortals and larger-than-life werewolves, but she's tough, and she stands up for what she believes (and cares about).

Details to camp out for the Eclipse Premiere

Ever since the announcement came down that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's premiere would take place at the Los Angeles Film Festival on June 24th, a lot of fans have been wondering whether it would be open to the public and whether they would be able to camp out for this red carpet in the same way that they notoriously have for premieres past.

Tonight, we have an answer.

Summit Entertainment has just announced that fans will be able to start camping out for the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse at the Nokia Theater at L.A. Live starting Monday, June 21st at 6:00 a.m. PT.

More details are still expected, but for now you can rely on this time frame when making your plans, if you are planning to participate in this way for Eclipse's premiere!

Jimmy Kimmel Live: Twilight Saga: Total Eclipse of the Heart

As “Eclipse” promotion picks up, we’ll have a lot heading our way. Next month Jimmy Kimmel will be hosting a primetime special in time for the release – can’t wait!!!

ABC is giving Jimmy Kimmel a full primetime special dedicated to the June 30 release of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.”

Titled “Jimmy Kimmel Live: Twilight Saga: Total Eclipse of the Heart,” the special will air from 10:01-11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23.

ABC boasts that this will be the only joint primetime appearance by “Twilight” stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. And if that’s not enough, co-stars Dakota Fanning, Bryce Howard and Xavier Samuel will be on-hand, plus “special guests.”

Kimmel will sell his soul to the devil — or, we guess, to the werewolves and vampires — in exchange for exclusive “Twilight” content and more.

Eagle-eyed ABC scheduling freaks will note that June 23 was supposed to be the airdate for the penultimate episode of the summer burnoff for the mystery dud “Happy Town.” Instead, the episode titled “Dallas Alice Doesn’t Live here Anymore” will be pushed to June 30 and the season [series] finale of “Happy Town” will air on July 7.

Kimmel’s next dedicated special will be a May 23 episode dedicated to the conclusion of ABC’s “Lost.”

Eclipse Trio on Oprah Preview

And here we were thinking the lucky ones were the people invited to the taping of last week's "Eclipse"-themed episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show."

According to People magazine, Oprah gave one family a gift beyond what they could have possibly imagined: RPattz delivered to their doorstep.

Maria Mele had apparently sent in a photo of her family, who look a lot like the Cullens, when Oprah requested fans submit stories about how "Twilight" had changed their life. The initial response was not tickets as they had hoped, but a chance to Skype with Oprah from their Naperville, Ill. home. When the scheduled time for the Skype chat came, Maria and her family were instead surprised by Robert Parttinson walking into their house.

"[My family and I] all lost it," she told People "[We were] screaming like a bunch of maniacs. We were all amazed that he was in our house." She added, "Robert was genuinely happy to fulfill our dream. I still can't believe it."

Rob hung out with the Mele's for about 10 minutes before Maria found out she and her family did end up getting tickets to the show.


"It's something we will never forget," Maria said. "I have to say although Oprah and Robert were great, hearing my kids say 'thanks for making this happen' [was] absolutely priceless."

Also appearing on the Internet today, thanks to an exclusive on the "Twilight" Facebook page, was a cast shot from the set of Oprah's May 13th episode. Get excited folks!!

Kristen Stewart's film 'On The Road' is scheduled to begin filming in August

The Hollywood Reporter writes that Kristen’s latest announced project is to start filming in August. Very exciting!

LONDON — Kristen Stewart, Sam Riley and Garrett Hedlund are walking the line for Walter Salles’ long-anticipated big-screen adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s “On the Road.”

Shooting is set to begin in August on the $25 million production, backers said Thursday.

Salles producer partner Rebecca Yeldham is teaming with French production banner MK2, which snapped up the rights and will produce the pic in collaboration with Film4 in the U.K. and Videofilmes in Brazil.

Salles traveled across the U.S. in Kerouac’s footsteps to work out the adaptation, filming a documentary on the search for “On the Road” as part of his preparation.

Oscar-nominated scribe Jose Rivera (“The Motorcycle Diaries”) has penned the adaptation for Salles.

Stewart will play Dean Moriarty’s incandescent on-and-off wife Marylou, while Riley will star as Kerouac’s alter ego Sal Paradise. Hedlund has been cast as Moriarty.

“We are enormously proud to be collaborating on one of the last great cinematographic adventures of the 20th century to be brought to the screen,” MK2 execs Nathanael Karmitz and Charles Gillibert said.

Kerouac’s cult novel of youth and freedom was first published in 1957 and has sold several million copies all over the world.

**Update**

On the Road should start shooting on August 1 in New Orleans and Montreal, smack between the release of Stewart’s eagerly anticipated The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and filming of Bill Condon’s Breaking Dawn, the last installment in the Twilight Saga franchise, in mid-fall. On the Road is scheduled to hit theaters sometime in 2011.

First, Stewart tried a slinky halter top and beaded disco shorts from Giorgio Armani—she considered wearing them again on the town—followed by an Oscar de la Renta minidress and spiky Christian Louboutin heels. Kristen Stewart to star in Jack Kerouac story 'On The Road'

In case you hadn't heard, today was the taping for The Oprah Winfrey Show's special The Twilight Saga: Eclipse episode, and Kristen Stewart was among the cast members present for the show.

USA Today had a reporter at the event, who got a chance to speak with Kristen Stewart about her upcoming work.

As she told USA TODAY's Susan Wloszczyna today while in Chicago for an Oprah taping, "I am very much attached to a movie that has been trying to get made forever. Not that this is going to help it, but maybe I can just brag a little bit. I am super excited about it, too. I am about to play Marylou in On the Road. So that's a big deal."

USA Today reports that the film - which will shoot this summer - will co-star Garrett Hedlund (as Stewart's character's husband) as well as Sam Riley and will be directed by Walter Salles.

The story is based on a Jack Kerouac book of the same name, and the story synopsis is as follows:

A writer holed up in a room at his aunt's house, Paradise gets inspired by Dean Moriarty (a character based on Kerouac's friend Neal Cassady) to hit the road and see America. From the moment he gets on the seven train out of New York City, he takes the reader through the highs and lows of hitchhiking, bonding with fellow explorers and opting for beer before food. First published in 1957, Kerouac's perennially hot story continues to express the restless energy and desire for freedom that makes people rush out to see the world. Breaking Dawn gets a release date! 11/18/11

Save the date, Twi-hards: November 18th, 2011. the studio still has no official word on whether it's be 2 films or one -- but Deadline sources still say it'll be 2 pics and Bill Condon will likely direct both.

A Summit Entertainment spokesperson has confirmed to HitFix that "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" will open nationwide on Nov. 18, 2011. It's still officially unknown if "Dawn" will be broken up into one or, as rumored, two films. Stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are all expected to return.

Directed by Oscar-winner Bill Condon, the fourth book in Stephenie Meyer's popular series chronicles Bella's most advanced initiation into the vampire world to date, but is also seen by many as the most difficult to adapt of all the best-selling novels. Melissa Rosenberg, who adapted the first two novels, would continue in that role for "Dawn."

"Breaking Dawn" will face off against "Happy Feet 2" and the Hugh Jackman Sci-Fi thriller "Real Steel." Even with the lucrative Thanksgiving weekend the following week, expect at least one of these films to move their release date to avoid going head-to-head with the "Twilight" franchise.

The third movie in the series, "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," will debut in theaters on June 30 nationwide and in IMAX.
