Industry insiders are busy going about town saying that Kristen Stewart packs a powerful performance in The Yellow Handkerchief. Well, at least based on the short footage that’s been released as of now.
In the flick, the Twilight star plays the troubled character of Martine who takes off on a road trip from her Louisiana base with a group of strangers – featuring Maria Bello and William Hurt. She becomes determined to kiss one fellow traveller, acted out by Eddie Redmayne, simply because the guys seems so obsessed with her. Apparently, Stewart’s Southern character thinks the mooch with make his extreme feelings go away. Hmm, I’m curious to see why she believes that’s a good plan of action.
So do you think it’s really TOO SOON to be talking of Oscar-worthiness, when the movie in its entirety has not even been released? Or do you think it’s totally fair game to spread the word because there is that one, whole scene out for the public consumption??
