A Run-Down of This Week in Kristen Stewart News
Between the forthcoming The Runaways, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and Welcome To The Rileys and her recapitulated moments of 2009, she's been in the news a lot lately.
So, here's a run-down of this week in Kristen Stewart news (from the high road, of course).
For starters, Kristen Stewart's Welcome To The Rileys, you already know, will be debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in just a couple of short weeks (schedule available here). A few stills from the film have already been seen, but MTV posted a new one of both Stewart and co-star James Gandolfini that's definitely worth a look-see. Also, Jeff Leins at News in Film did an interesting review of the script for Rileys that, if you're interested, explains the challenges associated with Stewart's role - as well as the possibility that the film will serve as a catalogue piece for her diverse repertoire.
Stewart was also the subject of a casting rumor regarding George Clooney and Millennium. Gossip Cop quickly tackled the rumor, quoting a source who stated that he or she "believe[s] that’s not true." As an errant (but remotely interesting) tid-bit about this casting rumor, the film would've been based on a trilogy originated by Stieg Larsson's books. Larsson's story, for those who looked at more than just the Bruce Weber photoshoot, was one of the more interesting ones included in Robert Pattinson's cover issue of Vanity Fair (page 140 of the issue). Anywho . . .
Kristen Stewart was the recipient of quite a few - albeit scattered in source and subject - accolades, including iVillage's "Women Who Ruled Movies in 2009," iF Magazine's "Best Premiere Photos of 2009," Daemon's Movies' "Top 10 Movie Photos of 2009" (for WTTR as well as New Moon and Eclipse), Asylum's "Top 100 Women of 2009, Number 10," MTV's "Top 9 of '09," Access Hollywood's "Top 9 of 2009," ABC's "Best Overlooked Films of 2009" listing for Adventureland, and E! News LA's "Wildest Red Carpet Moments of 2009" for her outfit at the MTV Movie Awards (told ya there was a variety).
Finally, with regard to The Runaways, Stewart's co-star in the film, Dakota Fanning, is featured on the cover of V Magazine, and she took some time to speak about some of the more passionate moments in the film. Also, a savvy vlogger at Movieline chronicled some of the pros and cons associated with The Runaways' showing at Sundance.
