A BIG congratulations to Kristen Stewart for her win at tonight’s BAFTAs for the Orange Rising Star Award! We’re SO proud of her and we’re very excited for all the great things headed her way. Congratulations, Kristen!!!
After it was announced that Kristen Stewart was nominated for the award - back in mid-January - her fans in the United Kingdom were persistent in voting for her . . . and apparently that persistence paid off.
Kristen was nominated alongside Carey Mulligan (An Education), as well as Nicholas Hoult (Skins), Tahar Rahim, and her Adventureland co-star Jesse Eisenberg.
In accepting the award, Kristen gave her thanks to Twilight fans and her regards to the other nominees.
Here’s her speech from tonight:
"First, I have to thank all the fans of Twilight for proving again and again to be the most devoted and attentive fans ever," she said. "Credit is due to them, so thank you."
"To the other actors nominated, I am so blown away by you I can't even describe it to you, and to be considered amongst you is overwhelming and I can't describe it."
