If the news yesterday that Stephenie Meyer would be releasing a brand new novella as a companion piece to "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" didn't get you excited enough for the month of June, Summit Entertainment decided to release three new stills to get you really salivating. Though we think it would have been fitting to show a shot of the now famous Bree Tanner in action, we think everyone will still be pleased with what Summit has to offer.
While we had complained that the trailer didn't focus enough on the cool action-oriented scenes in "Eclipse," the first still kind of makes up for it (kind of). Bella and Jacob are seen hanging out in the woods in front of some interesting lighting. We're placing our bets that this is the campfire scene where the Quileute werewolf pack shares with Bella the stories of how werewolves were created, and why they hate vampires so much.
And now we're back to the love triangle portion of "Eclipse." As usual, Edward and Jacob look antagonistic while Bella stands angsty in the background. Is Jacob even… cracking his knuckles? But it's nice to see all three of them in one shot together after Edward was so absent in "New Moon," though we really are having a tough time growing accustomed to Kristen Stewart's wig.
The Cullens are back! After the heavy promotion for "New Moon" on introducing the wolf pack, we began to really miss the Cullen brood. But here they are (minus Emmett), back in action, in what looks to be a fighting pose (though not as imposing as the famed baseball scene). Dare we say we are lucky enough to get our first look at the big fight scenes in "Eclipse"? It sure looks like it to us…
What do you think of these new "Eclipse" stills? Are you as off put by Jackson Rathbone's coif as we were? What scenes would you like to see most?
