Kristen Stewart Turned Down 'Lara Croft' Reboot Offer
Of all of the potential roles out there for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, The Runaways, and Welcome To The Rileys star Kristen Stewart, you might not think that, once upon a time, a Lara Croft: Tomb Raider reboot part was a possibility.
But it was, according to IESB.net. . .and Kristen Stewart thought wisely and turned it down.
"A deal . . . couldn't be reached," reports IESB.
The film was apparently announced by WB in 2009, and Megan Fox was the first on the offer roster, but she didn't care for the Angelina Jolie comparisons that would inevitably ensue . . . so she turned it down.
Then, WB thought of Kristen Stewart.
It's probably a good thing Stewart turned it down. She's certainly capable of portraying the character - or any she pleases for that matter, but it doesn't really fit her.
While "Lara Croft" is a great, heroine-type character, she's no Joan Jett.
As for what Kristen Stewart has planned next - aside from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - there is still no official word.
